Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 July 2026.

Summary: OVVOS TV runs locally on your device. We do not collect your viewing data.

1. What is stored, and where

Your server address, username, and password, plus your favorites, watch progress, and app settings, are stored only on your device. They are used solely to connect to the service you chose.

2. What we collect

For app use: nothing about your viewing. The app sends no IPTV credentials, favorites or watch history to us or to anyone else. Only two pieces of information ever leave the app, and neither contains your name, email address or provider login:

  • Free trial. To run the 15-day free trial, the app stores a one-way hashed device identifier and the date your trial started in Google Firebase (Firestore). This is what lets the trial run without asking for any payment details up front, and stops the trial being restarted simply by reinstalling the app. The record contains nothing else, and cannot be used to identify you personally.
  • Licence keys. If you activate an owner or complimentary licence key, that key and a non-identifying device fingerprint (also a one-way hash) are sent to our licence server so the key can be validated and tied to one device.

Purchases made through an app store are handled entirely by that store.

3. Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and processed entirely by the app store you installed from — on Android, Google Play. We never see or store your payment details. That store handles the transaction, renewals and refunds under its own privacy policy and terms. If you contact us for support, we keep only the correspondence needed to help you.

4. Third-party connections

When you use the app it connects directly from your device to the IPTV service whose details you entered, and downloads artwork from the addresses that service provides. Those parties have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

The app also uses Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) to hold the free-trial record described in section 2. Firebase signs the app in anonymously — no Google account, sign-in screen or personal profile is involved — purely so the trial record can be stored securely. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. Where the app is distributed through Google Play, Google also handles subscriptions and billing under its own terms.

5. Children

The app is a general-purpose player and is not directed at children.

6. Your control

You can clear your saved login by signing out, deactivate your licence from the app, and remove all local data by uninstalling. To request deletion of your licence/email record, contact us.

7. Website

This website does not use advertising trackers. Basic server logs may be kept for security and diagnostics.
